Cardiac and Abdominal Ultrasound

Ultrasound technology is used to get a better look at your pet’s internal organs, including the joints, muscles, and tendons, and can be helpful in identifying tumors, cysts, and heart conditions. In the past few decades, ultrasound technology has revolutionized veterinary medicine and is a safe, noninvasive procedure to identify concerns with your pet’s health.

During an ultrasound procedure, a veterinary technician will place a cooling gel on the area of interest, and will sometimes need to shave excess fur in order to produce an accurate image. Once the ultrasound is set up, you can view a real-time video of your pet’s internal structures. After the ultrasound, our team will determine next steps, if needed, to help solve your pet’s health issues.
